Please scroll down to see an assortment of some of the work I’ve created over my years of working with glass, clay, and paint
No rhyme or reason to the photos below, but an interesting way of viewing different things from different times. My art, my studios, my gardens, everything intermixed and added randomly. If you prefer to look at a particular category, such as blown glass, please go to the Portfolio section.

Blown Glass Wine Cups
The Spirits Remain oil painting by George Watson
Yunomi Japanese Style Tea Cups
My glass studio after the walls were finished (except for pointing). Installing the 24 foot rafters, and nailing boards across two for a makeshift ladder to make reaching the top easier. Removed at this point was a set of four shorter rafters with a small platform to set these taller ones in place.

Blown Glass Freeforms
Witch Ball. I made quite a few of these early in my glassblowing days. I had read a book published in the 1800’s that mentioned the Nailsea (England) glassblowers who made them to ward off evil spirits in their homes. There were no photos, and I purposely did not try and find any. I thought of how I would design such a thing, considering bubbles and color swirls to confuse and trap the spirits in dense glass. Made of mostly solid glass, like a paperweight.
Birdhouse by artist George Watson

Mizusashi water container for Tea Ceremony
Painting by artist George Watson
A back door window designed and fabricated about 40 years ago.
My idea of having an old car and a pony, not sure which was older, the car or the pony.
American Tsunami painting by George Watson
Chawan Japanese Style Tea Bowls
An early freeform with a semi abstract representation of my stone studio.
The Id oil painting by George Watson
Blown Glass Vases
Lost in the Swirl painting by George Watson
Stained Glass Windows
These two windows were a commission done years ago for a client who was doing a billiard room, and wanted a number of period themed windows. I think there was a total of 6 different windows if I remember correctly. A guesstimate of when I did these was probably about 35-40 years ago.
Wine cups were one of my favorite things to make, and I made a fair number of them, no two alike.
