Photos of my current studio and past studios.

I have had a few different studios through the years. I’ve worked from home too of course, but these are photos of my actual studios, including the stone studio I built for glassblowing in Pembroke, Ma., my painting studio which I built also in Pembroke, the studio I had in what was a retail space built in 1901 in South Boston, and my current studio in Ridgeland, SC., which was built as a retail space and most recently, before me, was an architect who finished the building over quite nicely

There is no particular order to these photos, they are shown in random order as I go through all my photos from the past and find something to include here. I will be adding to these frequently, and will try and include a small caption with each to explain a little about what you see.

Along with development of my studios, I have always tried to develop gardens and landscaping along with them. I will include some garden photos as well as this always was a focus of my attention, and I consider my gardens another of my art works, like the buildings I built. This is a new website, and it will take a little time to amass a good number of photos on it.

The entrance to my first actual studio which I built about 40 years ago.

Built entirely of stone that was taken up from digging and developing the gardens on this property. Built with simply a mortar pan (no cement mixer), inexpensive circular saw, jigsaw, hammer and only a few simple hand tools. It took about a year from start to finish, and the total cost was under two thousand dollars. The doors and windows all handmade, the bricks reclaimed from a torn down restaurant in Boston, the granite reclaimed from another property, the wood for the second floor and roof green wood from a local lumber mill.
