Haiku
Haiku by
Greg Pollock
ever less
they take
ever more
raindrop
declaring its existence
sheds perfection: "splash!"
I raise this chawan
to the sun
grateful for a mind not my own
we stand
on earth
ever fleeing itself
leaf
claps with one hand
dancing the wind
in these words
rests the world
of a moment
Butterfly
hovers by my pen
wondering where the nectar is
these lives
not what I imagine
this their inestimable gift
trapped in the world
only breath of words
released
rattlesnake
sensing loneliness
warns
I would like to
