Freeforms
Page 2
The freeforms vary considerably in size and shape. There is also considerable
variation in imagery, design work, and effects of color and translucence. Clicking
on a piece will bring you to larger photos of that piece, and a detailed description
with information about its special qualities. All of my freeforms have
an indented base (kick) so that the punty mark can be left in its natural state and
be slightly recessed in the base (see freeform at the top right corners of this page
and the previous page). I like these pieces to have a very organic, natural
look and feel, and the punty mark is like its belly button, its mark of connection
to its creation. These pieces are absolutely one of a kind. With the complexity of
color work, layering, number of intricate techniques used, and freeform method of
shaping, I could not create a duplicate even if I wanted to (which I don't).
